In the 1970s, racquetball, handball, and squash were popular sports in the US. Health clubs had courts for playing these sports. But with the explosion of Jane Fonda fitness videos, club owners realized that turning the courts into aerobics studios and fitness areas could attract more members. This led to a decline in court sports and the offering of more fitness activities.
Joe Garcia, a racquetball instructor, created Wallyball by developing equipment and rules for playing volleyball on a racquetball court. With 50 million volleyball players nationwide, the help of AMF Voit, UCLA volleyball coach Al Scates, and various sponsors, Wallyball opened up new avenues for club owners and sports enthusiasts.
In the same manner that Wallyball was created, Padel is a hybrid of tennis, and Picklewall is a hybrid of Pickleball and Padel. Fortunately, Racquetball courts have similar dimensions to Pickleball courts, making it easy to set up a Picklewall court. A multi-court sports facility that offers Picklewall and other court sports 24/7 throughout the year can lead to greater participation and growth.

The Pick a Ball Club will install retractable nets that can be stored within the court walls and introduce LED floor lighting for each sport. These enhancements will provide players with a seamless and convenient experience, making it easier to enjoy the hybrid sport of Picklewall and other court sports within the same court.
These are the nine sports that can be played on a PickaBall Court. The nets and hoops are easily accessed in the court walls, and electronic floor markings are turned on with each court rental. Additionally, lifestyle activities such as Tai Chi, Yoga, and Aerobics will also be offered to independent instructors.
